About Son's Blue River Camp

Son's Blue River Camp is an intentionally small 8-acre property on the San Marcos River in Kingsbury. We built it for families who want the classic Texas river day — tubing, swimming, picnicking under cypress trees — without the college-party scene that has taken over so many other access points. What's included with a day pass

Tubing & shuttle details

Floats run roughly two to three hours depending on river flow. Our shuttle cycles regularly through the day so you don't wait long. Life jackets are available and strongly recommended for non-swimmers and young children. Glass containers, styrofoam, and amplified speakers are not permitted on the river so the experience stays peaceful for every family on the water.

Plan ahead

Bring swimsuits, water shoes (the riverbed has rocks), sunscreen, towels, and a cooler with snacks. Check-in opens late morning; please plan to arrive by early afternoon if you want a full float.
